“If Your Reading This, I’m either Missing Or Dead” – Clark County Teen Disappears Under Mysterious Circumstances

AnjiDeanWashington teen Anji Dean’s family hasn’t seen her since June 23rd, but it seems the 17-year-old had gotten into trouble before disappearing [via CBS]. She told school counselors and teachers that she had found her way into an impossible situation. On the day of her disappearance, she texted her boyfriend and said someone was threatening to kill him and her entire family because of something she’d done. That morning, a neighbor reported seeing her getting out of a blue Volvo that had four other people in it, but the neighbor could only identify the driver — a black man with a goatee. Dean left behind all of her personal belongings except for the clothes she was wearing at the time, which her mom described as “black running tights, a white razor back tank top and white Nike shoes.”

Last Week Marked The Third Year Anniversary Since Ashburn Mother, Bethany A. Decker, Disappeared

Photo of Bethany Anne Decker taken shortly before her January, 2011 disappearance

Bethany Decker was a 21-year-old mother to a 4-year-old child and was pregnant with another when she disappeared on January 29, 2011 under suspicious circumstances at her apartment on Orchard Grass Terrace in Ashburn, Virginia.  She was last seen with her former boyfriend, Ronald Dennis Roldan, who was living with Decker prior to her disappearance. Roldan was last seen in Annadale, Fairfax County, VA.

Bethany Decker had described Roldan’s demeanor to family and friends as “controlling and abusive” according to investigators in court documents.

Roldan’s attorney had said his client was being ‘cooperative’ although sources in the sheriff’s office say he eventually ceased answering questions.

After repeated attempts to contact Decker, her family contacted police on February 19, 2011 and filed a missing persons report. At the time, family members had thought she was with friends, and her friends believed she was staying with family.

According to authorities, there has been no activity on her bank accounts, cell phone, or email account. She was a student attended George Mason University but hasn’t attended any classes after 01/29/11. Kim Nelson, the missing woman’s mother, said her daughter was looking forward to completing her degree and only had 3 more classes left.

Investigators created a timeline which places Decker in Columbia, Maryland the day she went missing. She was there with family members, including her grandmother and her husband, Emile Decker. Her husband, Emile Decker, left for tour duty in Afghanistan on February 2, 2011, three days after his wife went missing. According to the Disappeared show on ID, the couple’s marriage was on the rocks and Bethany did not see Emile off prior to him leaving. Emile has since returned from duty.

The last person to have seen Bethany, Ronald Roldan, had his attorney make a April, 2012 statement saying that he believed Decker was alive and will return home safely.

Ronald Roldan’s attorney, Andi Geloo, told WTOP, “my client remains hopeful and prays daily that Bethany will come home.”

Decker’s family and loved ones have been desperately searching for their daughter since her 2011 disappearance. Last week marked the second anniversary since she went missing and since then, her family has reached out to the public threw Facebook, and even met with producers of TV show Disappeared on Investigation Discovery (ID) channel to get their daughter’s name and disappearance out there. Click here to see a clip from the ID program.

Recently her family started the Hope Ribbon for Bethany project to keep the public’s attention.

“Our family has an empty place that was filled with Bethany’s laughter,” said Nelson to reporters when speaking about her daughter’s disappearance.

“Her 3-year-old son will ask ‘Where’s Mommy’ and all I can say is that I don’t know but God is with her,” Nelson said. “We are praying that someone has information on the details of her disappearance and will have the courage to come forward.”

There is no evidence in the case that points to foul play, but authorities are looking at all the possibilities.

Find Bethany Decker is a Facebook page created to update the public and share theories and support her family and loved ones.

Bethany Decker is described as a Caucasian female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 4-foot-11 and weighed 130 pounds and had a baby bump due to being 5 months pregnant at the time.

PARIS, TENNESSEE — Rachel Conger was a thirty year old mother of one who lived in Como, TN with her daughter. She was last seen in Paris, TN on March 13, 2008 in a Ford F-150 with her ex-husband. A store’s surveillance video spotted the truck passing by at 8:07am on West Wood Street and Swan Bay cell-phone tower has a recorded call coming in from Rachel’s phone at 9:30am with her estranged husband answering the call. By 10:15am, the husband was seen alone at his home which is roughly twenty miles from where the phone-call had taken place

She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Three days after her disappearance, on March 16, 2008, her estranged husband committed suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Henry County Sheriff’s Department believes Rachel was killed in a murder-suicide by her husband but no body has ever been located to prove that theory and her case remains unsolved.

Rachel’s family miss her very much and are desperate for answers. They have put alot of effort and held many vigils, both online and offline, but still haven’t received any closure.

Your Loved One lives In Your Heart
Many tender memories soften your grief,
May fond recollection bring you relief,
And may you find comfort and peace in the thought
Of the joy that knowing your loved one brought…
For time and space can never divide

Who is baby Allison?

Baby silhouette (stock photo)

Unidentified White Female Newborn was given the name “Baby Allison” shortly after being found December 31, 2003 in Strasburg Township, Lancaster County (PA)

It was Wednesday, December 31, 2003 – New Year’s Eve, at around 3:30 in the afternoon. Children at the Sycamore Amish Schoolhouse on Weaver Road were taking the day’s trash to a burn barrel on the school’s property. They lit the trash but immediately put the fire out when they saw that something else was in the barrel.

It was a baby, a newborn baby girl with the umbilical cord still attached. She had been put into a plastic bag and placed in the burn barrel.

Stock photo of what a burn barrel looks like

A neighbor who had a telephone called the police. The coroner pronounced her dead at 5:00 that afternoon. An autopsy showed that the full-term, 6 lb girl had been born alive. Her throat had been slit. Genetically, she was determined to be a white female, of European ancestry. She was not the result of incest. There is less than a 3% chance that she came from the Amish community.

After hearing reports of the baby’s discovery, an employee of the Turkey Hill Minit Market on N. Decatur St in Strasburg recalled finding something in the store’s restroom on December 26th that might be connected to the case. The store is about 4 miles from where the baby was found. Evidence was collected from the restroom and sent for testing. Police started contacting customers who had made credit card purchases that day, hoping to find someone who had seen or heard anything unusual. The public was urged to come forward with any information that could aid in the investigation.

Police theorize that the child’s mother was likely a young woman, under 20 and probably from the local area. If the baby was born in the restroom, the mother, and possibly another person, would have had to have access to a vehicle to get the child from the store to the burn barrel behind the schoolhouse. But N. Decatur Street, Route 896, is the main road into Strasburg, frequented by locals and tourists alike. So it is possible, if not likely, that the child’s mother was from outside of the area.

Kortne Stouffer disappeared five months ago after a night out with friends

Kortne Stouffer (pictured) mysteriously vanished over five months ago after a night out in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

DERRY TOWNSHIP,  PALMYRA — Kortne Stouffer is a 21-year-old graduate of North Lebanon High School, and a former  hair stylist who was employed at Ellie Salon in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.

According to police, Kortne was last seen in the early morning hours of July 29, 2012 at her apartment on West Main Street in Palmyra after a night out with friends, who said that Kortne was involved in more than one verbal confrontation earlier that night. One argument was between her neighbors and another with an unidentified woman who was at the same bar in Harrisburg that Kortne had gone to. It is unclear what started the fight.

Palmyra apartment complex where Kortne lived prior to her disappearance

No part of us believes Kortne is missing because she wants to be missing.” said her parents, Scott and Wendy Stouffer.

“It’s hard to be happy-go-lucky when one of your babies is not around and you have no idea what’s she been through or who might have her,”  “How are they treating her? Is she eating and drinking water? The reality is that we don’t know if she’s dead or alive. But nobody wants to think that we may never see her again.” said Mr Stouffer.

Police searched in and around the apartment with the help of cadaver dogs and horses and later joined friends and family to search locally for any sign of the missing woman. Volunteers also helped with the searches but found nothing to lead investigators conclusively in any direction. Many people have been interviewed including the neighbors and friends and they all have said they have no clue as to what could have happened to her.

Brian Boyer, a family friend, owns Boyer’s Signs & Truck Lettering in the same town. He created posters which featured Kortne and her details on it. He used the money he gained from selling the posters to go towards a reward fund which reached over $34,500.

Boyer described Kortne’s disappearance as “weird” and loved ones say it is very uncharacteristic of her to simply walk off and they do not believe she did that.

Police also labelled her case as “highly suspicious” during a statement made two months after she vanished. They stopped short of calling it  ‘criminal’ simply because there is no evidence to point to that theory. But that hasn’t stopped psychics from starting their own theories and assumptions.

Many self-proclaimed psychics have flocked to the police  with their “visions” which hasn’t helped aid authorities but instead, it has started unconfirmed rumors and although authorities are acknowledging that psychic calls are coming in, the only person seemingly entertaining them is Scott Stouffer, 47, the father of Kortne Stouffer.

Mr. Stouffer said that some of the readings he got “scared him.” One psychic contacted him and claimed to have seen his daughter alive in a cage.

“Some of it I can’t comment to you because it doesn’t express the best outcome,” said Mr. Stouffer.

But although he’s entertaining the idea, he doesn’t completely believe it.

“How can I go to bed at night if I know that I heard something that day and I didn’t follow up on it, as ridiculous as it possibly could be?” he said in an interview back in August, 2012.

Scott & Wendy Stouffer, the parents of Kortne Stouffer

The Stouffer’s have described their daughter as a “flower child” and they miss her very much and remain devastated. They hope anyone with absolutely any information regarding their daughter’s disappearance will come forward.

Kortne Stouffer’s Facebook profile showed activity three week’s after her disappearance which could have been the reason rumors started circulating about the missing woman being alive. Which is untrue.

Kortne Stouffer seemed to be enjoying her life and she gave no indication that she was planning to run off or harm herself. The young woman had written under the ‘about me’ section on Facebook saying:

Livin life 🙂  Life’s an Adventure, full of new beginnings and unexpected endings. Live every moment like ur last and have No regrets!

Her Myspace page, which hasn’t been signed into in a couple of years, shows the young woman was well-liked with an outgoing personality –

Hey!!!, so…. I’m Kortne!! I’m a total blonde but my friends still love me. I’m a cheerleader and I’m in track at Northern Lebanon High. This year is my senior year and I can’t wait for it to be over. I hope to go to school for vet tech but I haven’t figured out where yet. I’m confusing at times but if you stick around long enough you’ll learn to figure me out. I am currently single but that’s okay because I have yet to find a guy who can meet all of my standards. and it wooulfn’t matter anyway because I have learnd that relationships in this world do not last. but hey maybe I’ll get lucky! haha well if ya wanna know more IM me Nlblonde09
