Shortly after, the witness noticed a bearded adult man grabbing Heather from her lounge chair and forcefully drag her into a wooded area. He later saw her in a red Chevette being held down by her hair. Initially he assumed it was a boyfriend either angry or pulling a prank. It wasn’t until he heard about the woman’s disappearance that he put two and two together and contacted police with his accounts. Kentucky State Police haven’t been able to confirm the witness accounts of events however, they don’t doubt it and the abduction scenario has been the main focus for years.

Her case received national news and was featured on TV shows including America’s Most Wanted. Hundreds have conducted searches threw out the years and many were interviewed but unfortunately, she remains missing.

Mark Hill was a suspect in Heather’s disappearance but committed suicide not to long after being questioned.

el-dorado-jane-doePhotos of  the unidentified victim (circa 1990)

Date and Location: Unidentified White Female Located on July 10, 1991 in El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.
Estimated Time of Death: The victim died the same day that she was discovered.
Estimated age: 18-21 years old
Approximate Height and Weight: 5’11″; 150-160 lbs.
Distinguishing Characteristics: She has blonde hair however, it was brown at the time of her death. She had blue eyes, freckles and a birth mark under her left breast. She also had three piercings in her right ear and 2 in left ear.

Jewelry: A gold-colored, chain type bracelet present on right arm.
Aliases: Cheryl Ann Wick, Shannon Wiley, Kelly Carr, Kelly Karr, Mercedes
Other: Fingerprints, Dental and DNA are available.

This victim was found deceased at the Whitehall Motel in El Dorado, Arkansas on July 10, 1991. Authorities have determined that she resided in the Dallas, Texas region; Shreveport, Louisiana; and Little Rock, Arkansas prior to her death. At the time of her death, she was a resident of El Dorado and had been there for several years according to some reports.

It’s possible that the victim had been a runaway from the Florida area, which may be the reason she withheld her true identity.

Her murderer is James Roy McAlphin and he is in prison now for her murder. She was living at another address in El Dorado but went to the motel where he dragged her into the parking lot and beat her, then took her into the motel room and shot her. The victim came to El Dorado from Dallas in early 1991 where she used the name “Kelly Carr/Karr”. She had worked as a prostitute at the Carousel in Dallas. After leaving Dallas, she stopped off in Shreveport and then arrived in El Dorado. The victim was frequently at the hospital emergency room from beating and was arrested in May of 1991 for bad checks and she gave the name “Cheryl Ann Wick” from Minneapolis. Previous to her death, she worked as a topless dancer in Little Rock and that is where she told her “friends” she was originally from Florida.

After her death, they found a Bible in her belongings. There were several names in it: Willie James Stroud, Sharon Yvette Stroud, Ladonna Elaine Stroud, Johnny Lee Stroud, Viola Elizabeth Ross Stroud, Donna Jean Stroud, Bobbie Joan Stroud and Willie James Dantzler Sr. They subsequently found that this was a Black family in Irving, Texas and they believe that she lived with the family for a while.

At some time she was arrested in Dallas and Houston with the aliases: “Cheryl Wick”, “Sharon Wiley”, “Kelly Carr” and “Mercedes”.

When found, she had an Arkansas ID card which read “Cheryl Ann Wick”. They located the parents’ address and when they called, Cheryl herself answered and said that she did not know her. The police believe that this was a case of identity theft. A detective found a copy of a letter sent from the police to the FBI stating that the suspect had said that her name was “Kelly Lee Carr” age 24, and that she was wanted in Virginia and along the East Coast for bank robbery.

James Roy McAlphin is no longer in prison for her murder, he is in the Robertson unit in Abilene, TX for a sexual assault in Travis County, TX. He was due to be released in 2010.

Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Searching For Young Man Who Disappeared Last Week

cameron-mcglothanALABAMA — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is trying to locate a young man who has been missing for over one week.

Cameron McGlothan, 19, was last seen by his mother at approximately 10PM, March 23, 2013 at their Highland Lakes home. He left the house later on that night. Family filed a missing persons report two days later when he failed to return home.

Authorities think McGlothan left his house by choice and believe a friend picked him up. Although unsure, they believe he might have been picked up in a red SUV or truck.

His family is becoming worried because he does not have a history of leaving without contacting anybody and it’s highly unusual for him to be gone this long.

SCSO do not have any information that would indicate the young man is in danger however, SCSO Facebook page had left a status update earlier today which states the following;

Yesterday, March 12, 2013 Sheriff’s Office investigators received notification from Talladega County Sheriff’s Office they had discovered a deceased male along the side of a county road. Sheriff’s Office investigators are working with Talladega County authorities to determine if the male they located is possibly Cameron McGlothan.
Until official identification is made on the body found in Talladega County, Investigators continue to follow all leads in the missing person case of Cameron McGlothan.
