Police are asking Northfield resident’s for help in locating a missing man

Recent photo of Joshua B. Bohlen (39)

11/14/12 NORTHFIELD, MN —  Northfield Police Department is asking hunters who will be out the next few weeks for deer season to keep a lookout for a Northfield, MN resident who has been missing for one month.

Joshua Ben Bohlen, age 39, has been missing since Tuesday, October 20, 2012 and was last seen in Northfield, Minnesota walking on foot. His pickup truck and hat were located on Goodhue Avenue and 110th Street in Northfield  and according to authorities, his cell phone records and bank account has had no activity and according to authorities the missing man has experienced recent mental health issues and his family is concerned for his safety and well-being.

On October 30, 2012, ten days after his disappearance, relatives filed a petition in Rice County Court for Emergency Guardianship/Conservatorship, listing him as a protected person. He has been appointed an attorney. Doesn’t that imply the family knows where he is?

“The family had to do this in order to take hold of his personal affairs.” said Police.

Searches were conducted in the local area shortly after he disappeared but nothing came out of it.

Dogs were brought in from three different states and mounted patrols from Rice and Goodhue counties for a search within a 1-mile radius of Bohlen’s last known whereabouts on Oct. 20, according to Deputy Chief of Police, Chuck Walerius.

“There were not hits anywhere,” he said.

At this point, Walerius said hunters and farmers who are still working in their fields may be the best hope of finding Bohlen.

“They’re another pair of eyes that are going into an area that usually doesn’t have people around,” he said.

He said any sign of evidence — a piece of clothing or otherwise, is worth a call to police.

Walerius said there’s consideration to use another sweep by sky with the Civil Air Patrol now that the leaves are off the trees. He said once there’s snowfall, a search becomes increasingly difficult as any potential sign of the missing man would be covered.

Joshua Bohlen is described as a Caucasian adult male, blonde hair, 5’6”, weighing 170 pounds and likes to wear hats.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to please contact: Northfield Police Department – 507-645-4475

The Unsolved Disappearance Of Zaylee Fryar And The Unsolved Death Of Her Mother, Shauna Fryar

Pictured Above: Zaylee Grace Fryar — And Pictured Below; Shauna Marie Fryar

Zaylee’s Description:

Date of Birth: January 14, 2011

Biracial (Black/Caucasian) Female

Height: 2’0”     Weight: 12 lbs

Hair: Black     Eyes: Brown

Missing Since: May 1, 2011 Location: Millersville, TN

Distinguishing Features: Brown Birthmark on her Right Leg.

Published: October 27, 2012

→ Shauna Fryar was the 28-year-old mother of Zaylee Fryar. She had gotten married to Michael in 1999 and although Zaylee and Michael share the same last name, Michael is not the biological father of Zaylee.

Pictured: Michael Fryar, Shauna’s former husband, came home on 04/29/11 to find Shauna and Zaylee Fryar gone.

Shauna and Michael remained married for six years until they separated in 2005. During their separation they both dated other people and had children with other people, but remained legally married.  Shauna had 8 children at the time of her death, 2 of them being with Michael.  Michael regularly let Shauna stay with him when she needed to.  Shauna and Zaylee were living in Nashville and were homeless before they moved in with him again on April 29, 2011, just days before their disappearance.

According to Millersville police, on the night of Shauna and baby Zaylee’s disappearance, Michael Fryar had told authorities that he left his apartment around 9:00 pm on the night of  January 14, 2011 to go to the store and when he returned, both Zaylee and Shauna were gone.

He (Michael) said he became concerned when he noticed his wife didn’t take her vehicle, cell-phone, wallet and other important possessions including Zaylee’s diaper bag which she always brought with her just in-case.

The last confirmed sighting of the two came four month’s later, on Saturday April 30, 2011, when the two visited relatives in Pegram, TN and they were said to be in good spirits. Their family said that Shauna was happy at the time and appeared to be a loving and responsible mother to Zaylee.

An AMBER Alert was issued for Zaylee two days later, on Monday, May 1, 2011.

Almost a week after the amber alert was issued, a body was found in the Cumberland River, near the Jefferson Street Bridge in downtown Nashville. Sadly, on 05/10/11, it was positively identified as the body of Shauna Marie Fryar. Metro Police Spokesperson Don Aaron said there was no visible trauma to Fryar’s body and an autopsy should determine how she died. Unfortunately the cause of death could not be determined. Police have stated however that they do not believe it was a suicide and suspect foul play.  Shauna was 28-years old.

Shauna does have a history of drug addiction, and it is believed that she may have been trying to obtain illegal drugs around the time that she and Zaylee went missing.

Shauna has disappeared for days at a time at least four times before and had always come home safely, so Michael did not report her and Zaylee missing until 05/05/11.

Zaylee’s father, Thurman McMurry was in jail for assault at the time of the her disappearance and Shauna’s death and he is not considered a suspect in either case.

As of October, 2012 Zaylee Fryar’s has not been located and is believed to be in danger. Her whereabouts remains unknown.

Sex trafficking occurs when people are forced or coerced into the commercial sex trade against their will. Child sex trafficking includes any child involved in commercial sex. Sex traffickers frequently target vulnerable people with histories of abuse and then use violence, threats, lies, false promises, debt bondage, or other forms of control and manipulation to keep victims involved in the sex industry. Sex trafficking exists within the broader commercial sex trade, often at much larger rates than most people realize or understand. Sex trafficking has been found in a wide variety of venues of the overall sex industry, including residential brothels, hostess clubs, online escort services, brothels disguised as massage parlors, strip clubs, and street prostitution. – (for sex-trafficking resources, please go to

The Disappearance Of Two Twelve-Year-Old Girl’s In Texas Still Unsolved Two Month’s Later

Photo of twelve-year-old Kimberly Abigail Orellana

Kimberly Orellana, born July 7, 2000 is a 12-year-old child who was last on August 9, 2012. She was seen walking along highway 281 between Falfurrias and McAllen, which is located in Texas. Last seen over two month’s ago on August 9, 2012. According to NCMEC, she  may still be in the local area although unlikely according to her parents.

Kimberly is an illegal immigrant from El’Salvador who was travelling with other illegal immigrants. Her parents, who were also illegals, contacted authorities and reported her missing.

Immigrant activist Livio Danna said the group was heading to Houston but left her behind after she couldn’t walk anymore. Now, Danna is doing whatever he can to find the 12 year old girl.

“She was travelling with people. She started to feel uncomfortable, upset and tired and then she just left at that point,” Danna said.

On the website ‘web-sleuths’ Internet users had a few theories. Some thought foul-play, others assumed she was placed in an illegal sex-trafficking ring while others were concerned that the young girl was near McAllen which is close to the Mexican/US boarder and considered a very bad town.

Kimberly is described as a Hispanic female with black hair, brown eyes and has both ears pierced. She is 5’2” tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding this case, please contact: Brooks County Sheriff’s Office (Texas) 1-361-325-3696.

Cameron Hernandez, also 12, was a Corpus Christi child who also went missing a couple week’s after Kimberly’s disappearance.

Cameron has been missing since late August, 2012 when she left a Corpus Christi apartment complex to go for a late night jog. She along with her mother had recently moved from Harlingen in the Rio Grande Valley to Corpus Christi, where the mother says her daughter knew almost no one. She is enrolled in 6th grade at Corpus Christi’s Tom Brown Middle School.

Cameron was last seen on the 4100 block of Brett Street wearing a white tank top, silver basketball shorts, and black Nike running shoes. She was also using a Camel-back water carrier with a camouflage pattern.

She is described as a Hispanic female, standing about 5’1,” weighs approximately 100 pounds. Cameron has naturally brown hair, but it is currently dyed red. She has brown eyes.

Currently police do not believe Cameron had any reason to run away. Anyone with information is urged to call Corpus Christi police detectives at (361) 886-2670 – ask for Sean McFarland or James Lerma.

Side Note: Similarities between the two girl’s are not only their age but their race, both are Hispanic both have dark hair and brown eyes, both are around the same height and weight and both recently came to Texas. Another similarity is, both are still missing.

Roanoke County Police name SUV of interest in attempted child kidnapping | Missing and Exploited Children |

Pictured; Roanoke County Police are looking for attempted kidnappers believed to have driven a white-colored SUV, (similar to the one in this photo.)

10/22/12 – ROANOKE COUNTY, VA —

Roanoke County Police released a ‘vehicle of interest’ earlier this month in their investigation of the attempted kidnapping of a child in Roanoke County, Virginia.

Authorities believe based on the description of the SUV given to them by the six-year-old boy, that two men were driving a late 1990s model white Toyota RAV 4, similar to one in the picture above. Investigators believe the SUV may have dark tinted windows, and a trailer hitch.

The investigation started two week’s ago after a police report saying two men attempted to lure a child into a vehicle.

The boy was on Peyton Street in the Summerdean subdivision at about 5:40 p.m. when two men invited him into a white sport utility vehicle. The boy didn’t get inside the vehicle and instead hurried to his grandfather’s house which was nearby and that’s when police where called.

The men were described as Caucasian and in their twenties. Both suspects were wearing baseball hats with possible Indian logos.

RCPD said there have been at least two other reports of people attempting to lure children into a white SUV in late September in the same area.

According to, Mountain View Elementary School Officials asked parents to remind their children how to handle situations with strangers. The memo advised parents to talk to their children and practice keeping a safe distance from strangers, walking away from a situation and making noise to attract attention to a potentially dangerous situation. also said anyone with information is asked to call: Detective K. Saul at 562-3265.

Thieves Break Into A Family’s Philadelphia Home Stealing Kids Birthday Gifts And There 3-month-old Jack-Russell Puppy.

Three-month-old Miss Piggy was stolen as thieves hit the Schortye home.

Pictured above; The thieves took the family dog, a 3-month-old Jack Russell who is shown above.

The Schortyes believe they were first hit the morning of Oct. 15 while they were sleeping. The first burglar stole their groceries.

10/22/12 — Philadelphia Police are looking for a crook who not only stole thousands of dollars worth birthday party supplies from a Tacony family’s home. They also took the family’s brand new puppy.

You’ll have to forgive Zacharia Campbell for not smiling on his 8th birthday.
To be honest–it hasn’t been the happiest.

“My son is in tears. He’s heartbroken we love that dog” said mother Rachel Schortye.

Miss Piggy, the 3 month old Jack Russell puppy was snatched right from her cage in the kitchen early Sunday morning.

Thieves broke to the home on the 4700 block of Princeton Avenue. Not only did they get the dog. They also made off with the 52 inch plasma screen TV right off the wall. They also stole everything for Zacharia’s birthday party down to the juice boxes , hamburger rolls and party favors for the kids.

“When he came in the door was wide open, the window was open the TV was gone” said Schortye.

“Who would do something like this. We were asleep. They walk in somebody’s home that’s just crazy” said step father Govani Ortiz.

Luckily friends and family chipped in last minute to make sure Zacharia still had a party. But the dog–who brother Alex helped deliver as a puppy–is gone. Leaving a couple kids devastated.

“When I’m in school. I can’t wait to get home and see her…all I did was play with her” said Alex.

Thieves did leave behind a single finger print on the door and a Halloween mask. The family wants whoever did it caught but more importantly..

“Especially the dog..we just want the dog back” said Schortye.

This is the second break in to the family’s home in 2 weeks. They think the same person may be responsible.

I came across this ad while search for additional information on this story. It is a Craigslist posting that was put up on Oct. 15th, the same day the robbery occured. It’s an ad-posting for a lost Jack Russell believed to be the couples family puppy. If you spot this puppy or believe you have any information, please call the Philadelphia Police Department.
