Paige Aiello, NJ College Student Missing Since Tuesday After Her Purse Was Found On The George Washington Bridge

paige-aielloPaige Aiello, 22, is a college senior who had been working two jobs and preparing to attend Rutgers Law School this fall when she suddenly went missing three days ago.

The honor student was last seen Tuesday March 9, 2013 by her father, Christopher Aiello and about two hours later her mother noticed her vehicle had been taken without her permission. Authorities said the car was found at a parking garage near a train station in a New Brunswick and later that same night her purse and car keys were discovered by a passerby on the south walkway of the George Washington bridge in NYC, which has her parents very worried. They have tried reaching her on her mobile phone numerous times to no avail.

‘Please get a phone,’ Christopher Aiello said ‘Call because we need you and want to see you again.’

Paige had recently moved back to her parents home to be with her family after struggling to deal with stress of her busy schedule, her family said. Her father believes her 22nd birthday, which was to be celebrated yesterday, could be a motive to her disappearance.

‘With her birthday coming and with the fact that she was distraught, [maybe] she just wanted to be missing and not celebrate during this time,’ Mr Aiello told NBC. ‘I really don’t know what to think.’

He also said that his daughter was the captain of the school’s woman’s tennis team and described her as being a ‘high achiever” and was dealing with alot of stress prior to her disappearance.

“She has been all-conference and has been accepted into approximately nine law schools for next year,” he said. “It’s maybe just too much.”

“She had hit almost like a wall where she felt she was not maybe either worthy of all this or she just couldn’t handle it. So the message that at least I’ve been saying all day is not only do we have to be watching our children that are not doing well and getting in trouble but we have to see and watch the kids that are the over-achievers. They have a self-imposed stress,” Aiello said. “She did express stress.”

NYPD have scanned the water below the bridge but have so far found no trace of the missing student. Christopher Aiello said he had been briefed by the Port Authority Police Thursday afternoon that no witnesses had reported seeing anyone jumping from the bridge, which gives many hope that she will be found alive.

Paige is described as a White female with long brown hair, brown eyes and a thin frame. She appears to have light freckles on her face.

NOTE: An unidentified individual located on US soil could be from anywhere around the world. Canada is closer to NY than California and it’s possible the victim was brought from up north. Child and females are the most targeted for abduction and/or human sex-trafficking and thousands of victims are smuggled into the US every year for profit. If you’re from another country don’t exclude the idea that this victim could be one of your own. Leave no stone unturned.

The identity of a young female discovered in Warren County, New Jersey on July 15, 1982 remains unknown over three decades later.

The unidentified female was given the name “Princess Jane Doe” after she was discovered in a wooded area in Blairstown Cemetary, Route 94, NJ. She had been beaten to death and medical examiners conclude her estimated time of death could have been up to several weeks prior to discovery. They also determined she wasn’t pregnant nor did she ever give birth. She had no drugs in her system at the time of her homicide.

The community was horrified that something like this could happen so close to home and saddened when nobody came forward to claim the body so they came together and raised the funds to give Princess Doe a proper burial and gravestone.

So many years have gone by and many believe Princess Doe wasn’t from the area due to the fact that nobody knows who she is. It’s possible she may even be from another Country which would explain why, despite thousands of people threw out the United States seeing her case, her identity remains a mystery. However, a witness did come forward saying she knew Princess Doe and that she lived in Long Island, NY and was estranged from her family.

Lt. Stephen Speirs of the Warren Co. Prosecutor’s Office has investigated Princess Doe’s case close for many years and had hoped to solve the mystery by July, 2007, which would have been the 25th anniversary of the discovery. But it’s now passing the 30th anniversary with just as many unanswered questions as there was 30 years ago.

Physical description: A young Caucasian female between 14-20 years of age with a thin frame. Eye color is unknown. When she was found she was wearing red nail polish on her right hand but no polish on her left, almost as if she started painting her nails but didn’t get to finish. Her left ear has two piercings, her right ear has an unknown amount of piercings.

01/16/13, OLD WESTBURY, NY — 20 years on, Katie Beers says kidnapping saved her

Being chained as a 10-year-old for more than two weeks in a coffin-size box in a suburban New York dungeon was, Katie Beers says 20 years later, “the best thing that happened to me” because it allowed her to escape a life of abuse.
On the 20th anniversary of her ordeal, Beers has co-written a book with a television reporter who covered her kidnapping. “Buried Memories: Katie Beers’ Story” (Title Town Publishing) has a happy ending.

Beers is now a 30-year-old married mother of two who earned a degree in business management and works in insurance sales near her home in rural Pennsylvania.
Her kidnapping attracted nationwide attention in early 1993, when revelations surfaced while she was still missing that she had suffered years of neglect from her mother and had been repeatedly sexually assaulted by her godmother’s husband since she was a toddler.
Beers was described in Dickensian terms back then — a louse-infested, filthy waif who had no friends and often was forced to lug the family’s laundry down the block or fetch cigarettes and junk food for her elders.

After kidnapper John Esposito, a family acquaintance, admitted to detectives on Jan. 13, 1993, that he had kidnapped Beers and showed them the dungeon where she was hidden for 17 days under his Bay Shore, N.Y., home, the little girl was placed in foster care and raised in a comfortable East Hampton home with four siblings.
Her foster parents not only imposed newfound discipline into her life, making her go to school regularly and do small chores around the house, but they also shielded Beers from intense media interest. And reporters largely complied with a parent-like plea from a prosecutor to leave her alone.

“We as a society must protect this child, or our professed love for own children is just a fraud, and our so-called compassion for each other is just a mockery,” said James Catterson, at the time the Suffolk County district attorney. Click here for full article….. (News.Yahoo)

Conn. school victims shot by rifle multiple times

NEWTOWN, Conn. (AP) — All the victims of the Connecticut elementary school shooting were killed up close by multiple rifle shots, a medical examiner said.

Dr. H. Wayne Carver said at a news conference Saturday the deaths are classified as homicides. He said he believes “everybody was hit more than once.”

“This is a very devastating set of injuries,” Carver said.

Friday’s massacre of 26 children and adults at the school elicited horror and soul-searching around the world even as it raised more basic questions about why the gunman, a 20-year-old described as brilliant but remote, was driven to such a crime and how he chose his victims.

Investigators were trying to learn more about Adam Lanza and questioned his older brother, who was not believed to have been involved in the rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary. Police shed no light on the motive for the second-deadliest school shooting in U.S. history.

In tight-knit Newtown on Friday night, hundreds of people packed St. Rose of Lima Church and stood outside in a vigil for the 28 dead — 20 children and six adults at the school, the gunman’s mother at home, and the gunman himself, who committed suicide. People held hands, lit candles and sang “Silent Night.”

“These 20 children were just beautiful, beautiful children,” Monsignor Robert Weiss said. “These 20 children lit up this community better than all these Christmas lights we have. … There are a lot brighter stars up there tonight because of these kids.”

Lanza is believed to have suffered from a personality disorder and lived with his mother, said a law enforcement official who was briefed on the investigation. Authorities said he had no criminal history.

Outdated photo of Adam Lanza

Asked at a news conference whether Lanza had left any emails or other writings that might explain the rampage, state police Lt. Paul Vance said investigators had found “very good evidence” and hoped it would answer questions about the gunman’s motives. Vance would not elaborate.

However, another law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that investigators have found no note or manifesto of the sort they have come to expect after murderous rampages.

The tragedy plunged the picturesque New England town of 27,000 people into mourning.

“People in my neighborhood are feeling guilty about it being Christmas. They are taking down decorations,” said Jeannie Pasacreta, a psychologist who volunteered her services and was advising parents struggling with how to talk to their children.

Lanza shot his mother, Nancy Lanza, drove to the school in her car with at least three of her guns, and opened fire in two classrooms around 9:30 a.m. Friday, authorities said.

A custodian ran through the halls, warning of a gunman, and someone switched on the intercom, perhaps saving many lives by letting them hear the chaos in the school office, according to a teacher. Teachers locked their doors and ordered children to huddle in a corner, duck under their desks or hide in closets as shots reverberated through the building.

Among those killed was the school’s well-liked principal, Dawn Hochsprung. Town officials said she died while lunging at the gunman in an attempt to overtake him. A woman who worked at the school was wounded.

Maryann Jacob, a clerk in the school library, was in there with 18 fourth-graders when they heard a commotion and gunfire outside the room. She had the youngsters crawl into a storage room, and they locked the door and barricaded it with a file cabinet. There happened to be materials for coloring, “so we set them up with paper and crayons.”

After what she guessed was about an hour, officers came to the door and knocked, but those inside couldn’t be sure it was the police.

“One of them slid his badge under the door, and they called and said, ‘It’s OK, it’s the police,'” she said.

The district superintendent said she was told another teacher pushed students in the kiln room until police let them out.

Investigators believe Lanza attended the school several years ago but appeared to have no recent connection to it, a law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity said. It was not clear whether he held a job.

At least one parent said Lanza’s mother was a substitute teacher at the school. But her name did not appear on a staff list. And the official said investigators were unable to establish any connection so far between her and the school.

The law enforcement officials insisted on anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the unfolding investigation.

Lanza’s older brother, 24-year-old Ryan Lanza, of Hoboken, N.J., was questioned, and investigators searched his computers and phone records, but he told law enforcement he had not been in touch with his brother since about 2010.

For about two hours late Friday and early Saturday, clergy members and emergency vehicles moved steadily to and from the school. The state medical examiner’s office said bodies of the victims would be taken there for autopsies.

The gunman forced his way into the kindergarten-through-fourth-grade school, authorities said. He took three guns into the school — a Glock and a Sig Sauer, both semiautomatic pistols, and a .223-caliber Bushmaster rifle, according to an official who spoke on the condition of anonymity. The weapons were registered to his slain mother.

Lanza and his mother lived in a well-to-do part of prosperous Newtown, about 60 miles northeast of New York City, where neighbors are doctors or hold white-collar positions at companies such as General Electric, Pepsi and IBM.

His parents filed for divorce in 2008, according to court records. His father, Peter Lanza, lives in Stamford, Conn., and works as a tax director for GE.

The gunman’s aunt Marsha Lanza, of Crystal Lake, Ill., said her nephew was raised by kind, nurturing parents who would not have hesitated to seek mental help for him if he needed it.

“Nancy wasn’t one to deny reality,” Marsha Lanza said, adding her husband had seen Adam as recently as June and recalled nothing out of the ordinary.

Catherine Urso, of Newtown, said her college-age son knew the killer. “He just said he was very thin, very remote and was one of the goths,” she said.

Lanza attended Newtown High School, and several news clippings from recent years mention his name among the honor roll students.

Joshua Milas, who graduated from Newtown High in 2009 and belonged to the school technology club with him, said that Lanza was generally a happy person but that he hadn’t seen him in a few years.

“We would hang out, and he was a good kid. He was smart,” Joshua Milas said. “He was probably one of the smartest kids I know. He was probably a genius.”

Who is Adam Lanza? Why did he take so many lives?

Here’s a report posted by The Atlantic Wire:

Adam Lanza was 20 years old before he died on Friday — ABC, which first posted the photo above, is reporting that he took his own life after taking those of 20 children, six adults, and his mother. His brother Ryan, who was mistakenly identified as the shooter, hadn’t seen him since 2010, Ryan told authorities, according to The New York Post. According to the Associated Press, Ryan described his younger brother to authorities as “somewhat autistic” and said he suffered from a personality disorder. People with autism sometimes display “behaviors beyond their control,” according to this med-help.org site. Though there is not much research on the connection between violent crimes and autism, one study found 15 percent of juveniles evaluated in a “forensic setting” in Sweden had autistic spectrum disorders. (Asperger’s is a form of autism but is no longer listed in the DSM-5; click here for more on the latest research.) Another law enforcement official told Fox that Adam Lanza had a “checkered past … troubled youth for most of his life,” but CNN is reporting that he had no criminal record.

Suzie, the family dog, died and Carlos said he would be right back, that he was going to bury her. He did not have any identification (ID) with him. When he didn’t return, the missing man’s brother went to go look for him and noticed Suzie hadn’t been buried. Carlos was never seen again. He was a father of one and left behind a baby daughter and family. His family feels he would have never left on his own.

Carlos had previously suffered a head injury by being struck in the head, and has another medical condition. Doctors stated it was possible that Carlos could lose his memory at any given time.

His family created a Myspace page: Help Find Carlos Diaz under the about me section, a family member wrote:

*I need your help to find A Brother/Uncle/Father and Son who has been missing. Carlos is the type of person who loved being outdoors with his family/friends and dog Susie., but most of all his daughter Lesa. Wherever he had to go he was always riding his bike. He took that bike everywhere. Laughter & fun was always his Motto. He’s the type of person that would bring a smile to your face if you were down & out. He is a fun & loving person to be with, but on December 23, 1986 the family dog (susie) died everything changed. Carlos said he would be right back because he was going to bury Susie. After he left is when we realized he did not take any identification with him. It was getting late and my other brother Nelson went to go looking for him and all he found was Susie (unburied) but not Carlos. My mother and sister went to the police station to file a missing persons report, they handed a detective a photo of Carlos and what happened and his response was that my brother wasn’t eligible for a missing person report. He had to be between the ages of very young to 16 and 50-60 yrs. of age. So anyone between those ages were considered to have taken off. They kept his photo. Calls were made there after, months went by and the responses were “We do not have anything new”. Carlos would of never left his family especially his daughter. We would like to put some closure to this, so if anyone has seen him.
