SHAINA ASHLEY KIRKPATRICKAge progressed photo showing what Shaina may have looked liked at 7 years old. She will be turning 14 in a few weeks.

Exactly one week ago today marked the 12th anniversary since the disappearance of Shaina Kirkpatrick, then 1, and her newborn baby sister, Shausha.

Kimyala Henson, the mother of both girls, had planned to take them on vacation to Sacramento, California and they were being joined by Henson’s friend, Christina Mayer and a man whom Mayer introduced as her husband, Curtis. They left their Portland home on April 4, 2001 enroute to Sacramento and although they are believed to have made it to California it is unclear if they made it to Sacramento.

It has been confirmed that on April 5, 2001, less than 24 hours after leaving their Portland home Henson and her daughters had travelled to Redding, California and were seen at Shasta’s Lodge with both Mayer and Oehring. This was the last confirmed sighting of the two girls and the last time their mother would be seen alive.

Henson’s murdered remains were located on April 29, 2001 in a Nevada desert but Shaina and Shausha’s whereabouts are still unknown.

Steven Kirkpatrick, the boyfriend of Henson and the father of both Shaina and Shausha had told authorities that both he and Henson had never met Curtis prior to April 2001 and police would soon learn that ‘Curtis’ was in fact Frank Oehring, a fugitive from Missouri who had a warrant out for his arrest at the time due to attempting to murder his ex-wife. According to his former wife Henson had led a group of Satanists and Mayer was a member.

Just over two weeks after both girls disappeared, on April 20, 2001, both Mayer and Oehring were discovered in a vehicle at a rest stop in Collier County, FL. Mayer was dead upon discovery after being shot to death and Oehring was near death suffering from a gun shot wound to the head. He died just days later at the hospital.

It was determined that Oehring was responsible in what police have called a ‘murder/suicide’. He also left behind letters detailing their plan to steal Henson’s birth certificate. Mayer had assumed the murdered woman’s identity in Las Vegas, NV shortly after they met up with her in Oregon. Nothing in the letter indicated they were responsible for the murder of Henson nor the disappearance of her two daughters however, common sense and the circumstantial evidence points to them and police believe they had something to do with it.

They two girls are considered at risk.

The first one is a photo taken at the hospital after her January 2001 birth, and the second photo shows Shausha as a 2 month old, her age when she went missing. Artists were unable to create an age progressed photo due to her age and lack of details.

Son, 27, desperately searches for his fugitive mother 17 years after she was charged with custodial kidnapping of him and his brother (DailyMail)

A man is desperately searching for his fugitive mother 17 years after she was accused of kidnapping him and his brother amid a custody dispute with her former husband.

Jonathan Wiegand, 27, still sleeps with a picture painted by his mother Linda under his pillow at his home in Fairfield, Connecticut, and said he does not know whether she is alive or dead.

But due to a lack of court resources, the charges against her have been dropped – so Jonathan hopes he will finally see her again.

‘I’m praying to God that she’ll come back now,’ Wiegand told the Hartford Courant. ‘It’s really affected my life. I’ve cried so many nights because of this.’

At the time, her ex-husband, Thomas Wilkinson, had custody of Jonathan, who was 10, and his brother Benjamin Wilkinson.

She was charged with custodial interference and the boys were returned to their father. But when he caught day arrived, she never showed up.

Search for missing ten year old Nevada girl ends after her murdered remains were located in a undeveloped housing tract

Photo of Jade Morris, 10

LAS VEGAS — Police suspect that a casino worker killed a 10-year-girl before going to a Las Vegas resort and allegedly slashing the face of a co-worker with razor blades.

The search for Jade Morris ended Friday afternoon when officials confirmed that it was her body that was found a day earlier in an undeveloped housing tract. The Clark County coroner’s office said she died of multiple stab wounds,

Jade was last seen Dec. 21 with family friend Brenda Stokes Wilson, who picked her up to go Christmas shopping.

Wilson, 50, returned the car she had borrowed for the outing to a friend two hours later. Jade never came back. Investigators later found blood on the driver’s door and steering wheel of the 2007 Saab sedan.

Later that night, Wilson was wrestled to the ground with razors in each hand after allegedly slashing the face of a female co-worker at the Bellagio casino.

A judge raised her bail to $60,000 from $600,000 Friday morning after she was identified as the prime suspect in the child’s killing.

“It’s no secret the defendant is the suspect in the murder of 10-year-old Jade Morris,” prosecutor Robert Daskas told Senior Clark County District Court Judge Joseph Bonaventure at the hearing.

Later Friday, Las Vegas police homicide Capt. Chris Jones said investigators were still moving forward.

“As soon as we get all the evidence in that we need, we’ll book her on the murder charges,” he said.

Wilson has been jailed since the 21st on felony battery with a weapon, burglary and mayhem charges that could get her decades in prison.

Police said she offered no help in the search for the missing girl. Murder and kidnapping charges could get her life in prison without parole or the death penalty.

On Thursday, Las Vegas police responding to a 911 call found a girl’s body in unkempt brush near palm trees in a small traffic circle about 10 miles from the downtown Las Vegas outlet mall where Stokes was to have taken the girl shopping.

On Friday evening, Jones called the slaying “unfathomable.”

“Even having our jobs, we still can’t wrap our heads around this,” he said. “A lot of people think that just because of our positions we can understand it, but we can’t.”

In court Friday morning, Wilson stood flanked by eight police officers as her lawyer, Tony Liker, clutching a Bible and a copy of the charging documents, asked the judge to postpone arraignment until Wednesday to give him time to meet with Wilson.

Wilson, who had been identified by police and prosecutors as Brenda Stokes, told the judge Friday that her full name was Brenda Stokes Wilson.

Jade’s father, Philip Morris, was removed from court Wednesday by armed court officers after shouting questions about his daughter’s whereabouts to Wilson. He did not attend Friday’s hearing.

The two dated for several years, and Jade had a long and trusting relationship with Wilson, according to the girl’s grandfather, Philip Tucker.

Tucker said Philip Morris lived in Billings, Mont., and worked at a Flying J truck stop for more than a year. He would stay with Wilson when he visited Las Vegas, Tucker said.

Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the slaying. But Tucker said Wilson appeared to believe that the face-slashing victim had become romantically involved with Philip Morris.

Wilson picked up Jade for their shopping expedition around 5 p.m. Later, she got a ride with a friend to the Bellagio. She allegedly attacked her co-worker, Joyce Rhone, at around 9:30 p.m.

Rhone, 44, was hospitalized with deep cuts on her face, including one from her ear to the edge of her mouth.

Wilson told investigators that she visited her doctor last week, seeking to be admitted to a hospital “due to feeling like she wanted to hurt someone.”

Murder, Suicide Or An Accident? – Ricky L Dyer – 1993 Cold Case

Murder, Suicide Or An Accident? - Ricky L Dyer - 1993 Cold Case

Ricky Dyer was a mild-mannered young man of 21 who worked in a grocery store in Sparks, Nevada. He had been living with his parents until approximately two weeks prior to his death. He was devoted to his family, especially to his mother, to whom he regularly brought flowers. He was the kind of person who would always help others, both in his personal life and at work. Ricky was a happy person who had just bought his first car, was looking forward to moving into his own apartment and beginning life on his own as an adult. He did not fit the profile of one whose death was ruled a suicide by the investigating agencies.

Authorities are currently investigating the death of Ricky Dyer, Jr., which occurred some time during the late evening of July 16, 1993, or early in the morning of July 17, 1993. His body was found in his vehicle, a 1977 light blue Cadillac, which was located off a country road approximately 1 1/2 miles southwest of Canyon Rd. in Sparks, Nevada. He was found shot in the head with his own shotgun.

An empty shotgun shell was found on the ground outside the driver’s closed door of the vehicle. A spent shell was found in the chamber of the Remington 870 Magnum Pump shotgun, and two live rounds were also in the gun. Authorities have speculated that Ricky fired one round outside the driver’s door, leaving the empty shell on the ground. Why would he have fired that round, being particularly familiar with his own gun? Why would he have loaded the weapon full, knowing one shot would be sufficient?

Ricky was last known to be alive at approximately 10:00 p.m. on 7/16/93, when he was drinking a beer with a co-worker at Raley’s Grocery at 701 Keystone, after their shift ended. When he left the parking lot in his Cadillac, he was allegedly on his way home. At the time of his death, Ricky lived with a male roommate in a house at 594 Abbay Way, Sparks, Nevada. Both Ricky and his roommate are believed to be heterosexual, although Ricky allegedly did not have a girlfriend.

Ricky’s roommate stated that he had called Ricky at their house several times between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on the night of the incident. His roommate was at a party with another male friend and wanted Ricky to join them there after work. Did anyone see Ricky arrive at his home or leave there alone or with others at any time after 10:00 p.m.? Read more…

What happened to Patrick Carnes and his dog. Lucky? – Wells, Nevada

Patrick Carnes

Missing From:Wells Nevada Missing Since:04/13/11 Classification: Missing Endangered White Male Age at disappearance:86 Height:6’0 Weight:180 Hair:Gray or Partially Gray, Partially Bald Facial Hair-2 day beard growth when he left Toledo Eyes: Blue Special Identifiers: Wears glasses Clothing:Tan or beige pants. Blue plaid shirt. Tan jacket.  Toledo Mud Hens baseball Cap. Tan canvas shoes

Circumstances of Disappearance Patrick Carnes (86 years old) who was last seen alive in the area of Wells, Nevada on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. He was traveling to Reno, Nevada from Toledo, Ohio. His car was later located abandoned off of I-80 between Golconda and Battle Mountain, in Humboldt County. Carnes was traveling with his canine companion Lucky. Lucky is a large 80-100 pound brown mixed breed male dog.

Patrick and his dog, Lucky, were heading home to Reno when they both mysteriously vanished on April 13, 2011.

In early April 2011, Patrick Carnes traveled from his home in Reno, Nev., to visit family in Ohio. There, he looked at retirement homes where he could spend his golden years.

Patrick, a World War II vet who served in the Solomon Islands, was a proud, active man, with no signs of slowing down.

On April 12, he packed up his dark green Subaru wagon and drove back to Reno with his best friend, a slightly overweight, 100-pound Akita/mixed-breed dog named “Lucky.”

The following night, just after Patrick and Lucky entered the state of Nevada, a trooper pulled Patrick over for not changing lanes appropriately near the town of Wells. After speaking briefly with the officer, Patrick got off with a warning and continued his late-night trek across the state via westbound I-80.

Though they were only about a six hour drive from Reno, Patrick and Lucky never made it there.

The next morning, Patrick’s car was found abandoned in sage brush, a good distance from the highway in rural Winnemucca.

When investigators came upon Patrick’s vehicle, they found no signs of foul play. The car was a good distance from the road, and its front end was facing the interstate. There was no evidence leading investigators to believe Patrick and Lucky were abducted, but they can’t rule anything out.

After doing extensive air and ground searches of the vast, wide open, Nevada desert, police in Humboldt County have come up completely empty-handed. There hasn’t been a single sighting of the missing duo.

When Patrick was pulled over in Wells, he told the trooper he was going to get a room in nearby Elko that night, but there’s no record of him ever doing so.

What happened overnight remains a mystery to investigators, and they need your help to piece the clues together.

In the middle of the night, every night, I-80 is dominated by big rigs. Detectives believe a trucker might have seen what happened to Patrick and Lucky, but no one has come forward as of yet.

“Some trucker saw an old man with a dog,” Humboldt County Undersheriff Curtiss Kull said.

Consequently, investigators would like to make a plea to anyone — specifically long-haul truck drivers — who may have driven on I-80 between Wells and Winnemucca, and saw Patrick and Lucky between the late evening hours of April 13 through the early morning hours of April 14.
