Photo of the Rio Grande River, where John Doe was discovered. The RGR seperates Mexico and Texas  (USA.)

”John Doe” is described as a adult male who was discovered on September 15th, 2012 floating in the Rio Grande River in Zapata County, TX. Due to decomposing/putrefaction Webb County Medical Examiner were unable to identify him or create a composite photo. They were also unable to confirm his eye color but WCME did described the man as having strait black hair, being between the ages of 18-50 years old, standing 5’5” and weighing approximately 145 pounds. Race is Caucasian and ethnicity is listed as Hispanic/Latino. Probable year of death is listed as recent (2012.) Authorities believe he is a possible illegal-immigrant who drowned attempting to cross the Rio Grande River, from Mexico into the United States. He was found wearing white Tommy Hilfiger briefs. It is unknown why he was only wearing briefs and no additional clothing and if he possible had family/friends in the US who could identify him.

Webb County Medical Examiner were unable to obtain finger-prints due to the condition of the body but do have dental records. DNA samples were done at the University of Texas but test not completed. If he is an illegal, then DNA won’t be stored unless John Doe has family members legally living in the United States.
