Updated: 09/12/12 – Larissa M Huntsman has been located SAFE, Charges might be filed against Laura Huntsman’s, the mother of the missing teen.

The missing girl from Walnut Creek has been found, and her mother could soon be charged with hiding the Las Lomas High School student, according to the Walnut Creek Police Department (WCPD).

The following information is from the WCPD:

On Tuesday September 11, 2012 at approx, 4 PM detectives from Walnut Creek PD reacting to a tip provided to Concord PD located missing juvenile Larissa Huntsman at a residence in Concord.

Walnut Creek PD detectives have been searching for Huntsman since she was last seen on 8/24/12 leaving Las Lomas High School. The investigation determined that Huntsman was voluntarily missing, with the knowledge and assistance of her biological, non-custodial mother, Laura Huntsman. Larissa was in hiding at the Concord residence.

This case will be referred to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for the possibility of criminal charges being filed against Laura Huntsman.

Latest update: 09/11/12 – WC, California Walnut Creek Police Department detectives have continued the search for Larissa Huntsman, the missing 16-year-old Las Lomas High School Student.

The following information is from the Walnut Creek Police:

Detectives have followed up on leads provided by the public as well as being in touch with National Missing Children data bases and resources.

Detectives served a search warrant on the juvenile’s uncooperative, biological, non-custodial mother seizing her cell phone and examining historical information from the phone. On Thursday, September 6, 2012, Walnut Creek Police detectives served a search warrant at an address in Oakland.

That residence is owned by the juveniles maternal grandparents and occupied by her uncle. The uncle had previously been uncooperative with detectives and refused to allow entry to the home. Detectives found investigative leads and the search to locate Larissa Huntsman continues.

Huntsman was last seen walking off the Las Lomas High School campus on Friday August 24, 2012.

UPDATE: 09/07/12 – Walnut Creek, California –

The Walnut Creek Police are releasing more information on Larissa Huntsman, the missing Las Lomas High School Student who was seen leaving the campus on foot two weeks ago.  She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

According to Investigator’s who are working on this case,  Larissa’s mother,  Laura Huntsman, is not cooperating with the Investigation and it is possible she’s not telling police everything regarding her daughter’s disappearance. Both parents have avoided media and journalist since their daughter’s disappearance.  

Larrisa’s parents do not have parental rights to Larissa.

The following information is from the Walnut Creek Police:

”On Friday 8/24/12, a student at Las Lomas High School student was reported missing. The student was identified as Larissa Huntsman. Huntsman was last seen walking off the Las Lomas campus shortly after 1 p.m. on 8/24/12. It is unclear if Huntsman left the campus on foot or was picked up in a vehicle. Huntsman has not been seen since. At this time we have no information to indicate this is a stranger abduction case.”

The missing 16-year-old has a medical condition that requires her to take medication daily. It is believed that she hasn’t taken her medication since 8/24/12.

Walnut Creek PD has been actively investigating this case since Huntsman was reported missing on August 24th. Detectives are examining the possibility Huntsman disappeared with the assistance of a biological relative or other adult that have no custodial rights.

Larissa Huntsman is 16-years-old, standing at 5’3”, weighing approximately 120-pounds with brown strait hair, brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue v-neck shirt, blue jean-shorts and blue sneakers.

Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Huntsman. Anyone with information about Larissa Huntsman’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Walnut Creek Police Department at (925) 943-5844.


Walnut Creek, CA → Sixteen-Year-Old Sophmore, Larissa Huntsman was last seen leaving Las Lomas Highschool located at 1460 South Main Street, shortly after 1pm on Friday, August 24th, 2012. The Student was leaving on foot, by herself. LLHS realized Larissa was missing within hours and contacted Police.

A Student who attends Las Lomas HS claims Larissa had to participate in A solo presentation during the early morning hours, they stated she seemed ”Shy and embarrassed”

Investigators said that it appears the teenager left on her own accord and foul play isn’t suspected at this time. They are asking the public to keep their eyes open and if they spot her, to call Walnut Creek Police Department (number listed below.)

The missing teen has a medical condition which sopposely causes her to have seizures which requires her to take medication. It is believed she is not currently taking her medication which concerns her family.

WCPD is asking the public for assistance in locating Larissa Huntsman. She is described as being 5’3” inches tall, weighing approximately 125-pounds with brown, strait hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing A blue v-neck shirt, blue shorts and blue sneakers.

Very little information has been giving on Larissa Huntsman due to the teen being listed as an ”Endangered Runaway”, which typically gets ignored by the media. Her family has ignored further comments from news-sites and media and Larissa doesn’t have A Facebook, nor is she signed up on any social networking sites that anyone is aware of.
