Clothing: Her clothing had been burned off.
Jewelry: Two gold bands on her right hand, and on her left thumb, she wore a silver-tone heart-shaped ring with a hollowed-out center.
Dental: She had in one point in her life spent a good amount of money on dental work. She had four fillings and there was an area in the subjects mouth where she was missing teeth and she could possibly have worn a bridge, but no bridge was located; she was missing her back right molars.
The unidentified woman dubbed “Rosa Doe” was located in the Nasa Buffer Zone area of Northern Hancock County, Mississippi on May 10, 2003 and is believed to have been in that location for three days to three weeks.
Authorities believe it is possible that she was a transient in a possible drug deal gone wrong. The area is known to have transients and crack addicts. She had been seen at truck stops around the I-10 & I-12 area of Louisiana. Unlike most addicts, at one point in her life, she had spent a lot of money on dental work.
It is possible that she was killed either in Louisiana or Pearl River County, Missouri and her killer(s) brought her to Santa Rosa.
There have been up to three possible suspects who’ve been interviewed but no charges have been made against anyone and her identity remains unknown.
